Senior Electrical Engineer

Overview

Electrical Engineer with an emphasis on power generation. Multi‑discipline projects in hydro, gas and fossil power generating facilities required. Experience with Duke, TVA, Exelon, Dominion or other power industry desired. Desired experience includes low voltage and medium voltage power distribution, motor controls for both low voltage and medium voltage, interfacing industrial processes to DCS and/or PLC systems and using power distribution system modeling software (ETAP or similar).

Familiarity with panel design and 3D environment required.

• Lead coordination of engineering and design efforts across teams.
• Engage with peers and clients in meetings, presenting and leading discussions.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to develop proposal documents and estimates to facilitate bidding.
• Focus on modifications and upgrades in existing facilities.
• Possibly conduct relay protection tasks.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience leading engineering and design efforts in power generation.
• Proficiency in low and medium voltage power distribution, motor controls, and industrial process integration.
• Knowledge of DCS/PLC systems and power distribution modeling (ETAP or similar).
• Experience with panel design and 3D modeling environments.
• Familiarity with hydro, gas, and fossil fuel power generating plants.
• Ability to produce proposal documents and estimates.
