Halff is looking for an experienced Environmental professional specialized in transmission line routing and siting to join our Environmental team as a Project Manager. The role offers career development opportunities and potential ownership within the firm.
What you will do:- Manage project budgets and schedules
- Interact with clients
- Implement quality assurance and quality control
- Lead and mentor production staff
- Coordinate teamwork and project collaboration for successful completion of electric transmission line routing studies and related environmental assessment documents
- Develop alternative routes, impacts analyses, and documentation for project compliance with applicable regulations
- Provide expert testimony for contested case hearings
- Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to deliver client solutions
- Work with federal, state, and local environmental regulatory requirements, guidelines, and procedures
- Assist in identifying pursuits and developing proposals
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transmission line routing or siting
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and ArcGIS
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience communicating with clients, regulatory agencies, and the public
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Positive attitude, initiative, and ability to work with multi-discipline teams and manage projects independently
- Ability to multi‑task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
