Aboutthis role
The Quality Engineering Intern will work closely with the operations team to ensure our manufacturing process meets or surpasses the required internal quality KPIs and specifications as well as any applicable government regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe intern will work closely with suppliers to ensure the products or services rendered meet or surpass the required internal quality KPIs and specifications as well as any applicable external and government regulations. The intern will spearhead the analysis and investigation of faulty customer and supplier products and services and drive solution plans to completion by working with a cross-functional team, including supplier quality, product engineering, sustaining engineering, research engineering, and operations.
The intern will plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. The intern will provide support in the analysis and investigation of faulty coils and drive solution plans to completion by working with a cross‑functional team of supplier quality, sustaining engineering, research engineering, and operations. The intern will lead department and site continuous improvement initiatives.
The intern will learn how to utilize the Carrier Excellence (CX) operating system to propose and implement changes to existing processes to streamline and improve overall performance while maintaining cost controls, creating cost‑effective use of resources, and ensuring quality.
- Pursuing Bachelor's degree in engineering related field
- 3.0 or higher GPA
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
- Knowledge of refrigeration products
- Ability to solve challenging and complex customer requests
- Knowledgeable in CAD system
