Job Description
Green Meadows Partners is assisting a growing mechanical services company in recruiting for a Project Engineer to join its Operations team.
This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with experience in the mechanical, HVAC, engineering, or related industries who is eager to build a long-term career in project management within a fast-paced, technical environment. The Project Engineer serves as a critical link between Project Managers, Estimating, and Operations leadership, helping ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role offers hands‑on exposure to all phases of the project lifecycle while providing mentorship and clear opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities- Support Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and executing projects from inception through closeout.
- Maintain and manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, specifications, and project manuals.
- Review project plans, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Monitor project progress and help identify and resolve issues impacting schedule, cost, or quality.
- Prepare project reports, status updates, and other operational documentation.
- Support permitting, project closeout activities, and general project administration.
- Visit project sites as needed and maintain strong communication with field teams.
- Promote and support a culture focused on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Previous experience in the mechanical services, HVAC, construction, engineering, or related industries required.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Comfortable reading technical drawings, specifications, and project plans.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with scheduling software, Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, or Microsoft Project is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

- Ability to communicate effectively with both office and field personnel.
