We are seeking an Estimator (Demolition & Environmental Remediation) to join our team
and play a key role in growing and shaping this expanding portion of our business. This role is ideal for an experienced estimator who understands that successful remediation and demolition work depends on sound risk evaluation, regulatory awareness, and strong preconstruction strategy, not just takeoffs and pricing.
The Estimator will support competitive pursuits today while helping position the company for more negotiated, alternative-delivery, and repeat client work as the business grows.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesand restoration projects, generally ranging from $1M to $50M. Review and interpret plans,
technical specifications, environmental site assessments, RAPs, geotechnical data, waste
profiles, and disposal requirements. Develop scopes and pricing for hazardous materials
abatement, soil, sediment, and groundwater remediation, industrial and selective
demolition, and regulated waste disposal. Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor,
equipment, materials, subcontractors, and disposal facilities.
Identify, evaluate, and price risks related to environmental liability, unknown site conditions, regulatory compliance, permitting, and waste classification.
Support pursuit decisions and pricing strategy. Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and HAZWOPER requirements. Participate in value engineering and means-and-methods development.
Solicit and evaluate pricing from specialty subcontractors and vendors. Assist in developing work closely with environmental, operations, and field teams. Support project handoff and execution planning. Contribute to estimating tools and best practices.
Supervisory Responsibilities- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but may coordinate projects or tasks involving other departments or team members as directed by the Vice President of Preconstruction.
5+ years of estimating experience with demolition and/or environmental remediation.
Experience with demolition, remediation, and hazardous materials. Strong regulatory knowledge. Proficiency with estimating software such as Heavy Bid, InEight, or Bluebeam.
Ability to attend site walks and meet HAZWOPER requirements.
Preferred Experience- Utility clients.
- Union and non-union environments.
Knoxville, TN. Some Travel required.
