Job SummaryTech Source, a Salas O’Brien Company, is hiring a full‑time Senior HVAC Engineer to serve as the technical subject matter expert to identify candidates and work scope for future business growth, conduct construction document reviews, and work on large-scale projects from planning to execution phases supporting Department of Energy (DOE) facilities.
Responsibilities- Identify candidates and work scope for large HVAC projects at two Department of Energy facilities.
- Provide HVAC technical direction to engineers.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate process/engineering team/design projects from inception to project startup.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- 7 or more years of HVAC engineering experience in nuclear facilities, including project management experience.
- US citizenship is required.
- Working knowledge of federal (including DOE Orders), state, and local codes and standards applicable to HVAC design and systems.
- Active DOE Q or Top Secret security clearance.
- DOE/NNSA work experience or knowledge.
Hybrid work arrangement in Aiken, SC or Knoxville, TN, depending on your location.
Compensation & BenefitsThe expected base salary range for this role is $180,000- $230,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location. This role is also eligible for performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive U.S. based benefits package.
