Job Description

AECOM is hiring in Knoxville, Tennessee for a first‑of‑a‑kind program with partners advancing innovative stellarator fusion technology.

We are looking for professionals with experience in Heavy Industrial or Power Generation with technical backgrounds and skills in the following areas.

• Mechanical Engineers
• Piping Designers (CAD)
• Structural Engineers
• Structural Designers (CAD)
• Electrical Engineers
• Electrical Designers (CAD)
• Instrumentation & Controls Engineers
• Project Controls and Scheduling

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation & Controls Engineering.
• At least 6 years of experience in Heavy Industrial and/or power generation markets.
• Must be able to work in person a few days a week in Knoxville, TN.

Design Team Requirements:

• Piping, Structural, Electrical Designers (CAD) with 6+ years of relevant experience or AA/AS + 4 years of experience.
• Expertise with AutoCAD and Revit.

Project Team Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of experience in Project Controls and Scheduling for large‑scale projects in heavy industrial and/or power generation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience for leadership roles.
• Professional Engineering License.
