Rose Engineering is a growing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) consulting engineering firm based in downtown Knoxville. We partner with architects, contractors, developers, and building owners to design MEP systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, and specialty facilities throughout the Southeast.
The RoleWe’re looking for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our design team and contribute to live projects from the start. You’ll work on HVAC system design while building toward your professional licensure, with the opportunity to grow alongside the firm.
What You’ll DoA s a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you’ll become part of the design team from day one. Working alongside licensed Professional Engineers, you’ll contribute to projects while developing the technical and practical experience needed for PE licensure.
- Assist with HVAC system design, load calculations, and equipment selection
- Develop mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents using Revit/AutoCAD
- Perform engineering calculations for heating, cooling, ventilation, and energy performance
- Communicate directly with architects, contractors, owners, and other design disciplines
- Participate in field investigations, construction observations, and project meetings
- Build toward EIT/PE licensure
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from an ABET-accredited program
- Co-op, internship, or relevant hands-on experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take ownership of your work
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or engineering software is a plus, but training will be provided
- Meaningful project responsibilities from your first day
