Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimize industrial-scale electrochemical cells and electrochemical process systems.
- Support research, scale-up, testing, and deployment of advanced electrochemical technologies.
- Provide technical leadership on electrochemical system design, performance, and process optimization.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and scientific teams supporting PYRO and advanced process programs.
- Develop engineering calculations, technical documentation, test plans, and design reports.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, DOE requirements, and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrochemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience with molten salt systems or industrial-scale electrochemical cell design and development.
- Strong understanding of electrochemical principles, process engineering, and system scale up.
- Experience supporting complex engineering projects from concept through implementation.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Senior-level engineering experience in industrial electrochemistry.
- Experience supporting nuclear, national laboratories, or other highly regulated environments.
- Experience supporting PYRO or other advanced electrochemical process technologies.
- Experience with high-temperature electrochemical systems, molten salt processing, or advanced materials development.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in a relevant engineering discipline is a plus.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance, if required
- Schedule is full-time, Monday – Friday 40-hour week.
- This position is Hybrid in Oak Ridge, TN, or Remote.
