Job Title:
Land Development Senior Project Manager
Join a nationally recognized, employee owned consultancy as it grows its East Tennessee operations. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to take ownership of land development and site civil projects for a diverse client base spanning real estate, hospitality, public sector, manufacturing and mining.
About the OpportunityOur client's Knoxville office has grown to 70+ staff and continues to expand alongside the region it serves. Their civil/site practice delivers land development design, grading & drainage, utilities, permitting and construction support across a broad and interesting mix of private and public/industrial projects. This is a confirmed growth driven hire, not a backfill, which reflects real momentum in the local market.
WhatYou'll Do
You'll lead civil/land development projects from proposal through construction close out, owning scope, budget, schedule and client relationships along the way. You'll manage multiple concurrent site development projects, act as the key liaison with clients and permitting agencies, and review design output covering grading, drainage, utilities and erosion control. Mentoring junior engineers and designers will also be part of your day to day.
WhatYou'll Bring
- Experience in land development is essential, along with a track record of managing civil site projects.
- A PE license is required, alongside a BS in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Strong client relationship management, team leadership and commercial awareness will set you up to thrive here and any business development experience will make you especially competitive for this role.
You'll be joining an employee-owned company (ESOP) that offers full benefits and overtime pay, giving you a genuine stake in the business you're helping to build. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Knoxville, with real potential to grow into a senior leadership role as the office continues its expansion.
If you're a civil engineering PM looking for more ownership, more client-facing impact and a firm that invests in its people, this is worth a conversation.
