Skills & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, 7+ years of applicable mechanical engineering experience, strong knowledge of mechanical design codes (ASME, ANSI, API, NFPA), piping stress analysis experience utilizing tools such as AutoPIPE, Caesar II, Paulin PRG, Nastran, Inventor, and/or Solid Works, experience within power generation facilities (Coal, Gas, Hydro, Nuclear). Strong leadership skills.

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for an engineering consulting client supporting power generation, industrial, and government projects. This candidate will lead complex mechanical engineering projects from concept through execution, developing calculations, designs, specifications, and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring experience with mechanical systems, piping stress analysis, and power generation facilities.

Serving as a technical leader for multidisciplinary project teams & work on challenging infrastructure and industrial projects.

Day-to-Day:
Prepare engineering designs and supporting documentation including calculations, drawings, specifications, and design criteria. Develop project scopes, estimates, objectives, and requirements. Lead and coordinate mechanical engineering projects from design through execution. Conduct technical reviews and quality checks of engineering deliverables. Direct project design efforts and supervise engineering documentation development. Perform detailed mechanical and piping stress analyses. Develop complete design packages utilizing engineering principles and standards.

Conduct field walkdowns and gather equipment/site information. Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Prepare and verify engineering calculations using applicable software tools. Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and industry codes.
