Winter 2027 Co-op - Mechanical Engineering
As a Winter 2027 Mechanical Engineering Co-op at Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP), you will be a key part of the team that will install a new packaging line in our Knoxville, TN facility. This Co-op will experience the entire life cycle of a machine installation, from delivery of equipment to installation to startup/commissioning. This Co-op will gain experience working with various vendors (machine, mechanical, electrical, piping etc.),
plant engineering, maintenance, operations, safety and quality.
This role is aligned to the Coffee Operating Unit.
Shift/Schedule- The KDP 2027 Winter Co-op Program will run from January 4th – May 21st, 2027
- Location:
Knoxville, Tennessee - Full-time; 40 hours per week
- Monday-Friday
- 8:00am until 5:00pm
- Onsite – mostly on the manufacturing floor.
- Be a key point of contact for vendors and Knoxville plant personnel
- Lead project execution
- Work on various mechanical engineering tasks including review/modification of CAD drawings, review and sizing of utilities, review and participation in rigging and lifting, review and participation in the startup and commissioning plan
- Travel to other Keurig sites, specifically Spartanburg, SC. Travel will occur mostly during Jan/Feb
- Engaging and partnering on innovative projects to gain experience in a fast paced, cross functional team environment
- Receive mentor support for your professional development
- Participate in meet & greets and lunch & learns with KDP executives and other organization leaders
- Receive professional development training such as networking, professional skills development and presenting
- Complete a project from start to finish and present it and your takeaways to your team, department,and senior leaders to highlight your project work and impact on the business
- $31/hour
- Paid bi-weekly
- $5,000 sign on bonus pay, paid within first 30 days of employment
- Undergraduate currently enrolled in a full time academic program from an accredited college or university, majoring in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize requests, and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills including excellent listening, written, and verbal abilities
- Ability to work cross-functionally, be independently driven, and adapt to changes
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
- CAD and/or Solid Works and 3D printing experience a plus.
