Entry-Level Energy Engineer – Full-Time
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Energy Engineer to join our engineering team and support energy efficiency, sustainability, and process optimization initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in energy analysis, system optimization, and project implementation for industrial or commercial facilities.
Ideal candidates are early-career engineers with a strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, or energy systems engineering and a passion for sustainability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in evaluating energy usage across facilities and processes
- Analyze data from energy systems and identify opportunities for improvement
- Support energy audits, load studies, and benchmarking projects
- Assist with the design, implementation, and monitoring of energy efficiency projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, and management
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation of findings
- Support compliance with energy regulations, sustainability goals, and environmental standards
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to energy savings and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field
- 0–2 years of experience (internships or co-ops count as relevant experience)
- Familiarity with energy systems, HVAC, renewable energy, or industrial processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced engineering environment
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Experience with energy modeling or simulation software (e.g., RETScreen, HOMER, Energy Plus)
- Knowledge of LEED, ASHRAE, or other energy standards
- Internship experience in energy management or sustainability projects
