Role Description

The Financial Analyst – Sports & Entertainment will support the Finance team by analysing and providing insights across the full revenue cycle, from event and venue revenue through billing, accounting, and forecasting.

This role will help ensure accurate billing and financial reporting while working closely with teams across our venues to understand key revenue drivers. The ideal candidate will combine strong attention to detail with curiosity to improve processes, identify insights, and take on broader financial responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse venue and event revenue trends to support business decisions.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling for venues and events.
  • Manage the quote-to-cash process, including contracts, billing, revenue tracking, and reporting.
  • Improve financial processes, systems, and reporting workflows using Xero, Quick Books, and Excel.
  • Manage billing accuracy, reconciliations, revenue reporting, and resolve discrepancies with internal teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • 3+ years of experience in finance, financial analysis, accounting, or a related function
  • Experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., Xero, Quick Books)
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills, with comfort building and maintaining semi-manual `processes while working toward automation
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize multiple projects, and capability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience or interest in sports, entertainment, or hospitality technology is beneficial.
