Are you an ambitious accounting student looking to apply your knowledge in a dynamic corporate environment? Pilot Company is seeking an Income Tax Intern to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee, for the summer of 2027. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in tax compliance, making a significant impact by helping to complete our essential summer tax compliance tasks while being mentored by our experienced staff.

In this role, you will be an integral part of our Income Tax team. Your key responsibility will be to support the team's critical tax compliance efforts during a busy period, contributing to the timely and accurate filing of various tax returns and schedules. This internship is not only an opportunity to learn the practical application of tax principles but also a chance to grow within a supportive team that is dedicated to developing its people.

• Assist with tax compliance:
  You'll play a crucial role in completing our heavy summer workload, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

• Support data analysis:
  You'll work with large datasets using Excel and Power Query.

• Learn from the best:
  You'll be mentored by our staff, providing you with hands-on training and real-world experience.

• Enhance team processes:
  Your work and fresh perspective will contribute to the ongoing improvement of our onboarding and tax preparation processes.

What We're Looking For

• Education:
  
  Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting. A master's concentration in tax is a plus.

• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficiency in Excel is essential. Experience with MS Access or other tax preparation software is a great advantage.

• Soft Skills:
  
  A team-oriented attitude, with a strong willingness to accept and act on feedback. We're looking for someone with the flexibility and adaptability to pivot as priorities change.
