Summit Diagnostics Center at Athens is seeking a Registered Ultrasound Technologist (ARDMS) to join their team. This is a PRN opportunity which requires general and vascular experience with breast and echo a bonus but not required
.
Examples of Duties (List does not include all duties assigned)
- Performs ultrasound procedures on all scheduled patients safely and accurately. Follows imaging protocols to assure consistent and accurate test results.
- Treats patients in a professional and pleasant manner while attending to their needs and maximizing their level of comfort.
- Adheres to established policies and procedures, including OSHA and the corporate compliance plan.
- Adjusts to varying workflow as needed; requests assistance from co-workers and/or supervisor as appropriate.
- Maintains ultrasound equipment. Orders and stocks all supplies, as requested by supervisor. Notifies supervisor in a timely manner re: any challenges with equipment.
- Maintains appropriate logs, card files, film folders, test results, etc., in an orderly fashion.
- Assists in other areas during idle times in assigned areas.
- Performs all duties while exhibiting a courteous and cooperative manner to all coworkers, management, and the public.
- Maintains CPR certification and all certifications/ continuing education required and appropriate for position.
- Demonstrates current competencies related to job position.
- Maintains strict confidentiality.
- Actively participates in site-level Quality Improvement Activities. Each Employee will contribute to the continual evaluation site performance as well as the implementation and measurement of improvement activities that increase the quality of care provided to patients.
- Performs related tasks as requested by supervisor.
Education
High school graduate or equivalent; completion all required courses in ultrasound technology.
Experience
Two years’ experience in ultrasound preferred in general and vascular.
Certification/License
ARDMS certification required.
