The System Engineering Manager leads a high-performing team responsible for enterprise identity, access, messaging, and endpoint management. This role ensures the stability, security, and scalability of systems that enable employees to work effectively across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who has progressed from Systems Engineer into management and brings both technical depth and strong people leadership. The role partners closely with Cloud Engineering, Security, Network, and End User Support teams to deliver reliable and secure enterprise services.

Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and develop Systems Engineering leaders and senior engineers
- Foster accountability, technical growth, and operational excellence
- Partner with Cloud, Security, Network, Architecture, and Application teams
- Drive roadmaps for identity modernization, device automation, and collaboration platforms
- Represent Systems Engineering in leadership discussions and planning forums
- Oversee Active Directory and Entra , including access control and synchronization
- Manage Exchange On-Prem and Exchange Online environments
- Co-manage Azure identity and infrastructure with Cloud Engineering
- Lead MFA and authentication platform administration
- Oversee email security and domain authentication standards
- Direct endpoint patching and management through SCCM and Intune
- Manage device provisioning, compliance, and lifecycle processes
- Ensure effective access management across on-prem and SaaS applications
- Ensure ITIL-aligned change, incident, and problem management practices
- Partner with Security and Compliance teams to maintain audit readiness
- Track and report on operational KPIs, SLAs, and compliance metrics
- Maintain system documentation, runbooks, and operating procedures
- Build a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
- Support ongoing development through coaching, training, and certifications
- Encourage automation and simplification to improve reliability and user experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years in systems or infrastructure engineering roles
- 4+ years in people leadership, ideally progressing from hands-on engineering
- Strong experience with Active Directory, Entra , Exchange, Intune, and SCCM
- Experience leading enterprise-scale hybrid environments
Preferred
- Experience with identity platforms and email security solutions
- Knowledge of email authentication standards (DMARC, DKIM)
- Power Shell automation experience
- Familiarity with ITIL practices
- Microsoft certifications (M365, Identity, Azure)
