Based in Knoxville, TN, this contract-to-hire role offers hybrid flexibility after onboarding.
Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across Azure and OCI cloud environments and on-premise systems.
- Execute new builds and optimize existing architecture, including major hub consolidation, Express Route redesign, firewall centralization, and BGP configuration using Azure Route Server.
- Perform performance monitoring, tier‑2/3 troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and participate in an on‑call rotation approximately 3‑4 weeks per year for non‑business hours and weekends.
- Associate's degree in a related field or 4+ years of direct network administration/engineering experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Azure networking services.
- Intermediate knowledge of WAN/LAN, DNS/DHCP, Layer 2/3, TCP/IP, firewalls, and ACLs.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, AZ‑500, AZ‑900, or Security+.
- Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
- Experience with Juniper edge platform and hybrid cloud (Azure + OCI) in large‑scale campus or higher‑education environments.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (Solar Winds, Wireshark, Nmap, Net Flow).
- Experience with Linux/Free RADIUS basics and scripting/API/version control.

Contract to hire position based in Knoxville, TN with a hybrid workplace model.
CompensationHourly rate of $36.06 – $45.67.
