As a Server Engineer, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and solving issues that arise with the UTMC infrastructure environment! The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, integrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting our data center and cloud infrastructure, encompassing both on-premises and cloud setups. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling challenges and has a solid understanding of systems, while openly presenting diverse solutions.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in servers, Nutanix, Citrix, storage, Azure, M365 and backup solutions. A strong desire to have a forward-thinking mind and an astute aptitude for documenting project scopes, installations, and maintenance of all systems. With a collaborative mentality to bring solutions to several different cross-functional teams. Adhering to change management and ticket SLA's.

Primary Responsibilities
* Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain servers OS/Hardware - Windows and Linux
* Monitor system resources, patching, maintain system backups, and conduct regular restores
* Install, manage, troubleshoot, and maintain our Hybrid Active Directory (on-premises and Azure AD)
* Support and troubleshoot the M365 environment
* Administer and support Nutanix, Citrix, and proprietary medical equipment infrastructure
* Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot legacy SAN/NAS
* Create and deploy new infrastructure based on project scopes defined by a technical review committee
* Develop and maintain automation scripts (Power Shell) to support patch deployment, AD provisioning, backup verification, and other recurring operational tasks
* Maintain up-to-date, audience appropriate documentation for infrastructure configurations, project scopes, and recurring maintenance procedures. Ensuring documentation has continuity across the team
* Monitor and manage the ticket queue in accordance with SLA commitments
* Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support and scheduled maintenance windows
Experience
* Proven experience as a systems/server administrator
* 4-6 years:
Server management with Windows 2016 and up, and Linux
* 3+ years:
Virtualization (VMware or Nutanix);
Nutanix experience preferred
* 3+ years:
Citrix administration
* 3+ years: SAN/storage administration (iSCSI and/or Fibre Channel)
* 3+ years:
Power Shell and automation tooling
Years of experience should reflect hands-on working experience.
Preferred Certifications
* Nutanix Certified Professional/Master (NCP/NCM)
* Citrix Certified Associate - Virtualization (CCA-V)
* Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator Associate
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred
