Position: Medicare Agent & Agency Onboarding Specialist (Customer Success & Implementation)

Help independent insurance agents build successful businesses that serve seniors across the country.

Do you enjoy helping people navigate complex processes and setting them up for success? If you’ve worked in customer success, onboarding, implementation, account management, or client support, and enjoy guiding professionals through important milestones in their business journey, this role may be a great fit.

National Contracting Center (NCC) is seeking an Agent & Agency Onboarding Specialist to guide independent Medicare insurance agents and agencies (1099 contractors) through the process of launching and growing their business with NCC.

In this role, you will help agents navigate carrier contracting, certifications, and onboarding requirements while ensuring they have the tools, knowledge, and support they need to succeed.

You’ll serve as a trusted guide during a critical stage of an agent’s business journey—helping independent professionals get fully set up so they can begin helping seniors make confident healthcare coverage decisions.

Important to Know

This role supports independent Medicare insurance agents and agencies (1099 contractors) — not employee HR onboarding.

You will be helping independent business owners launch or grow their insurance businesses by guiding them through licensing, certifications, and insurance carrier contracting.

This position is not a sales role, and you will not be selling insurance products.

Successful candidates typically enjoy:

  • Working with independent professionals and entrepreneurs
  • Explaining complex processes clearly
  • Supporting professionals as they launch or grow their business
  • Managing multiple onboarding timelines simultaneously
Why This Role Matters

Independent insurance agents help millions of seniors make critical healthcare coverage decisions. Before they can begin serving their clients, they must navigate a complex ecosystem of licensing, certifications, and insurance carrier contracting.

You will be the trusted guide who helps them navigate that journey successfully. Your work ensures agents are set up correctly, supported effectively, and prepared to begin helping seniors across the country.

What You’ll Do Guide Agents Through Onboarding

Support independent Medicare agents and agencies through the onboarding process, including carrier contracting, certifications, and required steps before they begin selling.

Deliver a World-Class Agent Experience

Serve as the primary point of contact during onboarding, answering questions, setting expectations, and ensuring agents feel confident throughout the process.

Coordinate Across Teams

Work closely with recruiting, contracting, marketing, training, commissions, and sales support teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.

Track Progress and Maintain Data

Document onboarding progress, communications, and milestones in CRM systems to ensure visibility and coordination across the organization.

Support Agent Success

Help agents understand training resources, marketing opportunities, and strategies to launch and grow their businesses.

Stay Current on the Medicare Market

Maintain a strong understanding of senior insurance products and industry changes that impact agents and agencies.

A Typical Day Might Include
  • Walking a new Medicare agent through their carrier contracting steps
  • Troubleshooting a certification or licensing requirement
  • Answering onboarding questions from a new agency partner
  • Coordinating with recruiting or contracting teams on next steps
  • Tracking agent onboarding progress in CRM systems
  • Helping an agent plan their training and launch timeline
  • Ensuring agents are fully prepared before transitioning them to sales support
This Role Is a Great Fit If You
  • Enjoy helping independent professionals succeed
  • Are comfortable guiding people through complex processes
  • Thrive in high-volume onboarding or customer success environments
  • Are highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Communicate confidently by phone, email, and video
  • Enjoy solving problems and improving processes
  • Like working with both people and systems
