Inventory​/Dispensary Coordinator

As an Inventory Coordinator at a College of Dental Medicine, your role would involve managing and organizing all inventory related to dental supplies, equipment, and materials used for teaching and clinical practice.

High School Diploma

2 years dental assisting experience or comparable dental or medical materials management experience.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and spend long periods of time standing.

• Inventory Management:
  Maintain accurate records of all dental supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained to support teaching and clinical needs.
• Ordering and Procurement:
  Coordinate with suppliers to order new supplies and equipment as needed, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective purchasing.
• Storage and Organization:
  Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory items to optimize space and facilitate easy access for faculty, students, and staff.
• Inventory Control:
  Implement inventory control procedures such as regular audits, stocktaking, and monitoring usage patterns to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Quality Assurance:
  Ensure that all dental supplies meet required quality standards and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  Maintain detailed documentation of inventory transactions, including receiving, distribution, and usage. Generate reports on inventory levels, usage trends, and budget expenditures.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with faculty, staff, and administration to understand their inventory needs and ensure that they have the necessary supplies and equipment for teaching and clinical activities.
• Problem Solving:
  Address any issues related to inventory management, such as discrepancies, damaged items, or urgent supply needs.
