Pay Rate: $32,150 - $38,150 per year. Pay will be determined based on related work experience above required. To be considered in determining pay, all related work experience must be listed on the application.

Position Summary: To perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. To provide maintenance/custodial support for campus as assigned.

Job RequirementsEducation/
Experience:
High school diploma or GED. Minimum of three years’ experience in building maintenance, including training in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and/or other building trades; five years preferred. Part-time work experience is calculated at 50% credit of full-time work experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate with faculty, staff, and students.
- Able to provide faculty and staff support.
- Able to interact and provide information to diverse individuals and groups.
- Take initiative to complete tasks/projects with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, either independently or as part of a team.
- Must be able to analyze and prioritize tasks/projects.
- Must be able to meet deadlines.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Must have a valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
- Able to engage in the college’s mission and values.
Must be able to walk, lift, and bend as well as work from a ladder, work in a confined space, and carry up to fifty pounds. Must be able to hear to communicate via radio to contact each other to help with jobs. Visual acuity is required to drive on and between campuses, as well as the need to have color perception when painting or doing electrical work.
Not being able to differentiate between colors while connecting electrical wires could result in serious harm.
Extreme heat and cold, dusty conditions, working at heights above 30 feet. May involve blood borne pathogens, electrical shock, back injury, chemical burns, loss of appendages, chemical fumes, bomb threats, falling from ladders, crushed hand, foot or other body parts.
