Job Title: Managing Account Director

Location: Knoxville, TN

Responsibilities
  • Lead account management to meet service delivery obligations, internal and external requirements, and client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to strategic and account management plans and objectives; provide people leadership and foster BGIS values.
  • Provide direction to the team; manage daily activities and productivity; support and participate in key initiatives as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain effective client relationships; manage client expectations and engage continuously to anticipate needs.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services; build and maintain a growth pipeline for assigned client accounts.
  • Contribute to multi-year account expansion plans; participate in contract renewal activities and governance monitoring.
  • Support operations in action plans to remediate gaps and ensure objectives are met; act as escalation focal point for facilities or services.
  • Oversee facilities portfolio operations and maintenance programs; collaborate with stakeholders to optimize facilities and create client value.
  • Develop and manage budget execution including forecasting and variance analysis; manage project delivery for facility management projects (on-time, on-budget, quality).
  • Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities and priorities; drive innovation and growth; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum education:

    High School Diploma or GED;
    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Ten years of facility management or related work experience; highly skilled in account management, facility operations, and client relationship management at senior level.
  • Advanced skills in service delivery management and business development; able to achieve budget targets.
  • Strong communication, influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills with a client-service orientation and sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrated success as a people leader with engagement and development capabilities.
  • Sustainability mindset and continuous improvement in practices and technologies; self-perform experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management best practices.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Certified Facility Manager (IFMA)
  • Certified Property Manager (IREM)
  • Facility Management Administrator Designation (BOMI)
  • Real Property Administrator (BOMI)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
