Registered Nurse
Provide nursing care to obstetrical patients during labor and delivery. Assist with high-risk deliveries and maintain patient safety. Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs. Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed. Provide education and support to families regarding childbirth and newborn care. Assist with postpartum recovery and education for new parents. Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient status.
Participate in emergency procedures as necessary. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Adhere to infection control protocols. Assist in the triage of obstetrical patients as needed. Support breastfeeding and lactation education. Float to Mother/Baby based on staffing needs. Recognize and respond to complications during labor and delivery. Encourage patient autonomy and shared decision-making in care. Manage documentation accurately in the patient's chart.
Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members. Provide compassionate care to patients and families throughout the childbirth process.
