Role Overview:
The RN Manager provides clinical and administrative oversight of nursing staff within designated crisis cohorts, ensuring quality care and compliance with standards. They supervise, train, and evaluate nursing personnel, manage scheduling, and handle onboarding processes. The role requires leading by example, addressing disciplinary issues, and fostering collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to meet patient needs.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise nursing team, participate in recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Manage clinical coverage, assist with scheduling, and cover open shifts as needed.
- Ensure documentation compliance, timely communication, and delivery of psychiatric care according to protocols.
- Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders, participate in meetings, and monitor productivity.
- Complete required training, maintain licensure, and adhere to safety and confidentiality standards.
- 1-3 years of psychiatric nursing experience; supervisory experience preferred.
- Active RN license in Tennessee; knowledge of mental health treatments, medications, and regulations.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency with EMR systems, telehealth, and basic computer skills.
Valid Tennessee driver’s license, reliable vehicle, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and certification in de-escalation techniques. The role involves working primarily in the center with some travel between programs. The position demands emotional stability and the ability to handle crisis situations effectively.
