Position: Staff Nurse Operating Room*
Position Summary:

The RN is responsible for delegating, coordinating, and managing all aspects of nursing care provided to our patients and their families in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and respectful manner. Experienced Peri-operative, experienced non-experienced Registered Nurses, and new and upcoming Graduate Nurses encouraged to apply.

Non- experienced and New Graduate Nurses will be enrolled in robust, Peri-operative Educator led, and highly regarded fellowship as outlined below:

The Perioperative RN Fellowship Program is a 30-week training program for registered nurses who are new to the operating room environment. You will experience one week of hospital orientation followed by three weeks of didactic and simulation education as an introduction to the operating room. You will then spend three weeks with a preceptor to further orient you to the operating room and surgical procedures and standards.

The next fifteen weeks will be spent with preceptors as you rotate through each of the specialty services including General Surgery, Vascular, Neurology, Cardiac, Urology, GYN, and Robotics.

After completion of one week each on evenings and night shifts, the final six weeks are a period of transition as you prepare to function independently upon completion of the program. A one-month trial orientation with a preceptor will allow you to confirm that the operating room environment is right for you.

Instruction includes state-of-the-art, specialized equipment including lasers, electrosurgical, laparoscopic equipment and an introduction to basic scrub principles.

Position

Qualification:

Bachelors degree (BSN) or ASN

Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse licensure in Tennessee, or in the process of obtaining
