American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring a TN or compact RN license, BLS, and NIHSS certification.

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Cardiac telemetry patient population with monitoring and emergency response needs
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30
• 13-week assignment length
• Uses Cerner EMR and Omnicell medication system
• Weekend requirement of every other weekend or 2 weekends per month
• Floating required in accordance with facility policy and clinical experience

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS (NIHSS may be obtained after offer)
• ACLS certification preferred
• 2-3 years of nursing experience preferred, with prior cardiac, telemetry, and med/surg experience
• Must be able to pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Cerner charting experience preferred but not required
• Certifications and licensure must not expire within 45 days of the start date

• Provide cardiac telemetry care including monitoring, interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization care preferred
• Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring preferred
• Complete non-billable orientation and annual modules through the facility's internal system
• Holiday RTO requests will not be accommodated for a defined list of major holidays and surrounding days
• RTO cannot occur within 14 days of the start date and cannot exceed 7 days
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced pay rate
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for the traveler pay rate
• Previous perm staff cannot return to the same campus within 24 months, but may return to a different Covenant Health campus after 12 months
• Related or married travel team members cannot be placed on the same unit
