Description
University Physicians' Association is seeking qualified applicants for Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position at University Palliative Care in Knoxville, TN. Candidates must be detail-oriented and able to work under deadlines in a very fast-paced office. Applicants must be familiar with giving instructions, writing orders, and making the patients their top priority. This position will work closely with physicians to provide a seamless patient experience.
Hours
:
Monday - Friday, 08:00 am-4:30pm

Candidates Must Adhere To The Following
- Provide complete patient assessment, including vital signs and pre-examination procedures in clinic setting.
- Gathers and assesses objective and subjective data from the patient.
- Documents data and assessments in the patient electronic record
- Assists the providers in all aspects of the consultation, treatment, procedures, and follow-up care.
- Medication reconciliation, management, patient compliance, inventory, education.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, sound judgments based on the presenting data, and a timely response based on the expected patient outcome and standards of care as well as unit/organizational policies.
- The position will include rotation of triage nurse call for urgent medical issues
- Maintain current CPR for Health Care Providers.
- Requires adherence to all policies and procedures, including but not limited to standards for safety, attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and organization skills are critical to the overall success of the candidate.
- Current CMA Certificate Preferred or LPN License required
- Prior medical experience is required
