Registered Nurse

Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Hospital in Knoxville, TN seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, evidence-based inpatient rehab care for patients recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injury, complex orthopedic and neurological conditions, and other serious illnesses. RNs complete assessments, develop and update care plans, administer medications, provide wound and post-surgical care, and monitor patient progress. You’ll collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary rehab team, educate patients and families, maintain strict safety and infection-control standards, document accurately in the EMR, and participate in continuous learning and quality improvement initiatives.

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor patient status throughout the rehabilitation stay
• Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans based on patient goals and clinical status
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following hospital protocols
• Provide wound care, post-surgical management, and support for neurological and orthopedic conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to coordinate interdisciplinary rehab care
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, therapies, medications, and home care needs
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record
• Maintain strict safety, infection-control, and fall-prevention practices in all patient interactions
• Support patient mobility and self-care training in alignment with therapy goals
• Participate in quality improvement, ongoing education, and professional development activities

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
