American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Level I Emergency Department Holding unit position requiring 2 years of acute care/MS tele experience and ACLS certification.
Details- Work in the ER Holding unit of a Level I Emergency Department
- Care for patients admitted and awaiting bed availability, either in a designated area or hallway
- May be assigned to an acute care area if no patients are being boarded, though this is rare
- Patient ratio of 6:1
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 18:45 to 7:15
- Every other weekend and some holidays required
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
- Open to block scheduling accommodations
- Active TN RN license or compact license in hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care/MS tele experience required
- Prior Cerner charting experience required
- Two references required for consideration
- Pending licenses not accepted
- Provide nursing care to ED holding patients awaiting inpatient bed placement
- First-time travelers considered based on relevant previous experience
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Previous employees eligible to return
- Travel pairs allowed
