The Security Officer (Armed) will conduct the day-to-day activities to ensure a secure campus.
Required Qualifications- High school diploma
- Valid driver’s license
- Pass a background check
- At least 21 years old to serve as an armed guard
- Law enforcement and/or security training

Job DutiesPromote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large.
Must be able to fire a weapon accurately.
Must be able to defend self and others with and without the use of deadly force.
Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students.
Participate on University committees in the absences of the chief; maintain knowledge and compliance with faculty/staff policy manual, Security SOP, student handbook, and other policy manuals.
Conduct regular security rounds of all property.
Maintain security of all keys and key access.
Complete new employee training.
Research, report crime and incidents.
Address policy violations when observed.
Report all maintenance and grounds issues through daily activity reporting.
Conduct traffic safety, issue traffic and parking citations.
Must have ability to react quickly and calmly in emergency situations and determine proper course of action.
Maintain Emergency Response certification.
Complete daily activity reports, incidents reports, consult and understand pass-on book information since the last shift.
Maintain officer code of conduct in accordance with Faculty/Staff Policy Manual expectations.
Completion of required institutional and program accreditation reports and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the University programs, both on campus and at the extended sites.
Maintain and display a high degree of professionalism in appearance and in the performance of all regular duties.
Must exert oneself physically for short periods of time, such as running and lifting.
Maintain yearly Security recertification through the State.
