Armed Security Officer

Job Description

General Accountabilities

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to maintain security and safety.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and security systems to prevent unauthorized access.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.
• Enforce property rules, regulations, and client policies.
• Provide armed protection and maintain firearm readiness in accordance with state laws and company procedures.
• Complete detailed incident, activity, and shift reports.
• Assist law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times while representing NPS Protective Service, LLC.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Job Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Armed Security Guard License issued by the Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance.
• High school diploma or GED required; additional training or military/law enforcement background preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and fingerprinting as required by Tennessee law.
• Strong communication, observation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to stand or patrol for extended periods and work in various environmental conditions.
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
