Security Operations Center Lead needed in Knoxville 3pm-11pm Monday-Friday
SummaryOur Security Officers protect the industrial or commercial property of our clients against fire, vandalism, and illegal entry. Our clients range from class‑A office buildings, luxury residential properties, distilleries, Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, telecommunications, manufacturing/industrial factories, hospitals, and many others. The successful candidate will be a problem solver, possess critical thinking skills, and be detail‑oriented. This position is responsible for best practices for communicating information surrounding incidents to leadership as appropriate.
The lead will monitor cameras and alarms, dispatch associated calls via telephone and radio, and provide general assistance to both employees and guests.
The lead is responsible for answering routine and emergency calls, monitoring alarms and video equipment, including video alarms, door alarms, and duress alarms, and providing general assistance to employees, vendors, and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- The lead is responsible for monitoring various tools to identify threats and/or risks to the organization.
- The lead will coordinate response to life safety incidents (medical, safety, natural disasters, etc.) and dispatch security officers, CRT, facilities, police, fire, and EMS personnel as required via telephone, radio, and/or software systems.
- Maintains records of communications and events.
- Manages sensitive situations and maintains confidentiality and information security practices.
- Conducts investigative video reviews and reports findings; assists in investigations and updates requestors promptly.
- Documents all reported incidents, notifying appropriate parties for escalation or other required actions.
- Ensures all systems are functioning properly and reports deficiencies as necessary.
- Coordinates the response of on‑site security personnel using surveillance tools to identify individuals in restricted areas.
- Proactively monitors extreme or adverse atmospheric conditions that could cause damage, disruption, or threats to life and property.
- When there is an ongoing police or fire emergency near an asset, collects real‑time information and alerts relevant offices or affected employees.
- Maintains situational awareness during planned and unplanned civil demonstrations near assets using news sources and subscribed intelligence tools.
- Manages and prioritizes employee security concerns through email, phone, and internal messaging platforms.
- Has strong understanding and troubleshooting skills for CCTV, Physical Access Control, and various security software platforms.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment.
- Analyses problems, identifies causes, and implements results‑oriented solutions.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to find information quickly.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in other languages is a plus.
- Conducts routine alarm testing and remote audits.
- Maintains daily logs and prepares reports as required.
