Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Unarmed Roving Patrol in Knoxville, TN
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a welcoming environment.

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials when required, and report access-control issues to the appropriate contacts.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify site management and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while presenting a professional, customer-focused presence in a technology and telecommunications environment.
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- CPR Certification is preferred.
- Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid is preferred.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
