Low Voltage Installer; DAS

This organization specializes in four major telecommunications categories:

The team supports a wide range of in-building wireless projects across Federal, State, and Local government, as well as education, transportation, stadiums/venues, and healthcare. Projects include construction, installation, and maintenance of in-building wireless access points and DAS infrastructure.

This position supports projects throughout Tennessee, including DAS and low-voltage installations, public safety systems, fiber and coax work, ODAS/IDAS deployments, new construction, and existing campus upgrades. Work is performed across the state with occasional travel to Virginia.

• Up to 50% travel (worst-case scenario)
• Overnight stays for up to 4 nights at a time

• Install and test coax, fiber, and low-voltage cabling
• Rack and stack equipment; dress and label cables
• Perform coax and fiber testing (OTDR, Fluke, and other industry-standard testing equipment)
• Read blueprints and schematics
• Delegate tasks and lead small jobs
• Document work through photos and reporting to management
• Work with various OEM and telecommunications equipment manufacturers
• Install and work with 1/2" coax and fiber-based DAS systems

• 3+ years of cable installation experience (Coax, Fiber, Low Voltage). DAS or single-mode fiber splicing experience is a major plus.
• Experience overseeing ISP/network cable construction, including rack/stack, terminations, and testing.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with coax and fiber test equipment.
• Ability to lead a helper, interpret blueprints, delegate tasks, and run small jobs.

• Monday-Friday schedule; current hours are 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Must be comfortable working on ladders and in commercial, hospital, government, and public-safety environments

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, TN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
