CDL Bus Driver
Location:
Knoxville, TN.
We are currently looking for an experienced CDL Bus Driver to join our team in Knoxville, TN. As a key member, you will be responsible for safe and comfortable transportation of passengers and upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
Pay & Compensation- $20.42/hour for training
- $22.06/hour for Operator in Service (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Pay Scale)
- Starting pay up to $22.06 with progression for years of service
- $1,500 Sign‑on Bonus for credentialed Operators – CDL with P Endorsement
- Vacation: up to 14 days per year
- Unpaid Sick Leave: 16 hours yearly for full‑time employees
- Medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full‑time employees

- Execute flawless operations by following designated routes and schedules and adhering to safety protocols and traffic regulations.
- Provide exceptional care and assistance toward passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation.
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, promptly report maintenance issues, and maintain cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
- Uphold company policies, including seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and compliance with regulatory mandates.
- Perform other duties as required.
- 21 years or older
- Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and air brake endorsement
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions—100% of the job is performed outside, alone, and in remote locations.
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
