STARTING PAY $18.00 to $20.00 depending on experience.

Job Description

This is a hybrid position of Delivery Driver in a box truck and working in the warehouse to put away or pull stock dependent on what is needed that day. This position requires being able to lift up-to 75lbs regularly and safely. Must be able to pass a DOT Physical.

6:30am-5:00pm

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
• Properly document goods delivered or loaded.
• Load and unload trucks
• Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
• Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
• Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
• Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment - Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, or box trucks.
• Getting Information - Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
• Handling and Moving Objects - Using hands and arms in handling, positioning, and moving materials.
• Working Directly with the Public - Greet customers in a friendly manner.
• Performing General Physical Activities - Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and handling of materials.
• Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates - Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e‑mail, or in person.
• Inspecting Equipment - Inspecting equipment to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
• Static Strength - The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
• Reaction Time - The ability to quickly respond to a problem when it appears.
• Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Time Management - Managing one's own time.

Education and experience:

High school diploma or equivalent
