This full‑time position requires working 100% onsite in a laboratory environment. The role involves managing inventory and ensuring the smooth distribution of materials, supplies, and specimens. The candidate must be available for the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with the flexibility to work every other Saturday if needed.
Responsibilities- Perform physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, specimens, and equipment.
- Receive materials, supplies, and specimens from delivery services, document receipts, and reconcile products against packing lists.
- Troubleshoot and resolve in-bound and out-bound sample shipment delays.
- Organize materials, supplies, and specimens in appropriate storage areas, ensuring inventory control and security.
- Prepare and organize materials for shipping to other locations and maintain shipping records.
- Comply with all safety regulations, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
- Maintain the facility, including laboratory, grounds, and parking areas, according to company standards and SOPs.
- Utilize facility‑related computer systems for maintenance or security tasks.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies, promoting EHS/safety actions.
- Maintain a professional image and confidentiality of company records and information.
- Lift up to 50 pounds as required for daily tasks.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions
- Ability to complete routine forms or conduct routine oral communications
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with SAP
- Prior experience in material handling, maintenance, shipping, receiving, inventory, or logistics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry
The position is based in a Knoxville, TN lab, requiring 100% onsite presence. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with the possibility of working every other Saturday. The environment is fast‑paced with frequent interruptions, requiring frequent walking, standing, bending, and occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood‑borne pathogens. Personal protective equipment is frequently required to ensure safety.

Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.30 - $16.30/hr.
