Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to support daily warehouse and inventory operations. This role is responsible for managing inventory transactions, processing shipping and receiving activities, entering orders into the Net Suite system, and helping maintain accurate inventory levels. Prior Net Suite experience is preferred but not required. Location: Knoxville, TN - onsite
Key Responsibilities- Process incoming and outgoing shipments, including receiving, inspecting, and documenting inventory.
- Partner with customers and vendors to arrange shipping of inventory items and finished products
- Coordinate logistics with shipping companies
- Accurately enter incoming inventory and related data into the Net Suite system.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Perform routine inventory counts, cycle counts, and support reconciliation efforts.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies to ensure data accuracy.
- Coordinate with warehouse, operations, and customer service teams to facilitate timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain organized inventory storage and follow established inventory control procedures.
- Generate and review inventory-related reports as needed.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve inventory management processes and operational efficiency.
- Support compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Adapt to changing business needs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational priorities.
- Perform all other duties as assigned, including providing support to other departments and teams as business needs and priorities arise.
- 1-2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, logistics, or a related field.
- Understanding of inventory management principles and the overall inventory lifecycle.
- Experience working with inventory management systems or ERP platforms;
Net Suite experience is a plus but not required. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately enter and maintain data in business systems.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with cycle counting and inventory reconciliation.
- Familiarity with order processing and fulfillment workflows.
- Prior experience working in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.
