Materials Handler
Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site. Reads work order or follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. We are seeking a key team member in conducting the proper transactions related to incoming as well as outbound goods supporting operations. Based in our Knoxville, TN location, you will work with others in ensuring accurate and complete receipt of goods required for production as well as picking goods based upon established procedures. The Distribution Center Pick & Pack Associate is in a unique position to ensure vital material flows from our suppliers and back out to our internal and external customers.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Ensure all due Start Date orders in SO Tools are picked & packed ready for shipment before shipping cut-off
- Selecting or picking products in conjunction with the specific customer order accurately
- Maintaining the computerized store system (Serial number scanning & tracking)
- Dealing with customer queries
- General Distribution Centre duties (Movement of Material, Packing / Unpacking etc.)
- General housekeeping ensures the work areas are free from all unwanted materials or foreign objects
- Perform any assignment being assigned by the Distribution Lead/Supervisor in related warehouse/store activities
- Any other duties assigned by Distribution Supervisor
- Ensure compliance of workplace safety rules, including but not limited to the usage of a personal protective equipment, if provided to you, while working; not involve in any unsafe or negligent act that may endanger peers or oneself; reporting unsafe work conditions and providing suggestions to improve safety/ health at work, as needed

- Pack-to-ship complete cycle time
- CSP failures due to Pack/Ship

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills including Client Word, Excel, Outlook, communications.
- Familiar with using a handheld computer scanner
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable with working with others real-time in remote locations
- Ability to work on your feet for most of a typical 8-hour work shift, and ability to lift up to 49 lbs. on a semi-regular basis. Ability to climb stairs and ladders frequently, walk, kneel, bend, squat, and reach.
- Familiar with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, stacker lifts, and pallet wrapping equipment
- Be comfortable and aware around material handling and lifting equipment in motion, and able to use the same equipment as required after proper training.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in either product fulfillment in a commercial, industrial, or other similar high mix, medium volume environment
- Previous shipping and receiving or warehouse experience in fulfilling both manufacturing and distribution of goods
- Previous experience with powered equipment including fork trucks, pallet jacks, stacker lifts and pallet wrapping equipment
- Knowledge of modern pick, pack and shipping technology and operations
