Project Material Handler PSEA

Our client, a leading organization in the academic and library support sector, is seeking a Project Material Handler to join their team. As a Project Material Handler, you will be part of the logistics and operations team supporting library and storage facility projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Project Material Handler

Location: Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: $20.00

Shift: 08:00 AM - 4:30PM, Monday through Friday

• Lift and move books from shelving to carts at Hoskins Library and off-site storage locations
• Scan and load books onto library carts for processing
• Transport carts to designated loading areas, pushing and pulling carts weighing up to 600 lbs
• Unload trucks at the LSA Building, removing books to be trayed in the main staging area
• Assemble book trays and organize materials within storage areas to facilitate shelving and inventory management

• Ability to read and speak English fluently
• Capability to lift up to 20 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours daily
• Willingness to bend, squat, and climb library ladders as required
• Follow instructions precisely and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
