Role Overview
The Field Trainee – Construction is responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality installation of elevator and escalator units across assigned project sites. This role ensures compliance with all Otis installation standards, safety, customer expectations, and statutory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
installation of new elevators and escalators while ensuring full alignment with Otis quality standards and committed project timelines.
Adhere to Otis installation standards.
Uphold strict adherence to Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) protocols across all installation activities.
Conduct thorough pre‑installation and post‑installation inspections to validate safety, quality, and compliance benchmarks.
Coordination with customers and contractors and maintain work schedule timelines of project execution.
Travel to project sites in the region as needed, to support installation schedules and customer commitments.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation and follow Field Installation Manual (FIM) in line with operational requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
ITI in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Strong mechanical and electrical expertise with hands‑on troubleshooting capabilities.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and perform project-related calculations.
Strong understanding of safety practices and installation procedures.
