The Data Entry Clerk I operates keyboard-controlled data entry devices such as a computer, key-operated magnetic tape or disc encoder to transcribe data into a format suitable for computer processing. The job task requires skill in operating an alphanumeric keyboard and an understanding of transcribing procedures and relevant data entry equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Operates keyboard-controlled data entry devices such as a computer.
- Work under close supervision and follow specific procedures or detailed instructions.
- Work from various standardized source documents that have been coded and require little or no selecting, coding or interpreting of data.
- Verify the completion of received documents.
- Enter work requests into the Data Base Management System for review and approval.
- Reconcile recorded work against completed work orders.
- Files paperwork for company record.
- Act as back up for other positions in the department
- Assist with coverage of customer help desk during assigned hours
- Perform all other relevant work duties assigned.

- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable National Agency Check (T1)
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Basic Microsoft Office applications skills (e.g. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Must be able to clearly communicate in the English Language (read and write)
- Must be able to meet deadlines with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently
- Must be able to maintain a high level of customer service
- Must be able to drive a company vehicle and be insured.
- Ability to pass a drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base.
- Having reliable transportation to/from work is a necessity and must be used in order to obtain access to military installations.
- Advanced computer and data entry skills
- Experience with CMMS programs, TMA or Maximo

WORK ENVIRONMENTJob is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYThis position has supervisory responsibilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS LIFTING & CARRYINGEssential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.
MOBILITYThe employees will need to move around to attend meetings, access shared resources, and collaborate with team members.
