Tutor/Proctor – HCI College – West Palm Beach, FL
Proctor/Tutor is responsible for the delivery of quality education services. This entails engaging students who prepare for Tutoring Tease and Accuplacer testing, fostering learning, role modeling professionalism, and ultimately producing competently trained students prepared for passing the Tease test for admittance to HCI College. This includes working with the Director of Admissions over assigned cohorts of prospective students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Become ATI Champions within 90 days of hire date (Full‑Time Proctor/Tutor)
- Prepare course plans and materials for Tutoring Tease/Accuplacer exams
- Deliver course lectures and refresher tutoring sessions
- Facilitate student engagement and work one‑on‑one with students
- Assess students and provide developmental feedback on preparation for Tease/Accuplacer exams
- Deliver best practices for testing and monitor progress and attendance
- Direct and assess student progress in achieving testing content
- Take and report daily attendance, enforce tardy and absence policies, and report attendance issues on scheduled prospects
- Advise students, answer questions, and be available for one‑on‑one assistance/tutoring
- Identify at‑risk students, implement action plans, provide weekly assessments, and evaluate the plan
- Provide weekly reports to the Director of Admissions
- Review records, contact students in time frame to retest, and bring them back into tutoring or testing
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Prior experience as a tutor is required
- Background in high school level math and sciences
- Bachelor's degree in education is ideal and preferred
- Part‑time position, requires Saturday hours
