Kodiak College is recruiting adjunct faculty positions within various departments. Adjunct instructors teach course(s) during Fall/Spring/Summer semesters on a semester‑to‑semester basis.

Responsibilities

Teach course(s) for the assigned semester(s). Prepare instructional materials, deliver classes, and meet the instructional quality standards set by the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA). Participate in faculty meetings and collaborate with staff and students within a diverse rural campus community. Conduct assessments and provide timely feedback. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of teaching methods and technology.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a discipline related to the position, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Preferred:
    At least two years of university/college or technical college teaching experience.
  • Preferred:
    Experience teaching traditional campus courses and distance education (eLearning) in rural communities.
  • All asynchronous instructors must have in‑house UAA or Quality Matters training before teaching.
  • Adjunct instructors should live in Alaska, though not required.
Position Details

This part‑time, temporary position is located on the University of Alaska campus in Kodiak. It is a pooled position, and assessments are made on an ongoing basis. Successful candidates will be placed on the adjunct salary schedule as outlined in the UNAD CBA.

This position is at‑will, union represented, and may be canceled based on the university’s needs.
