Project Manager
Six Mile, LLC (SML) is seeking a Project Manager to provide support to a base operations support services contract in Kodiak, AK.
Type: Full-Time, Regular Tier: II Location: Kodiak, AK Schedule: Varies FLSA Classification: Exempt Reports to: General Manager
Responsibilities- Provide technical and professional direction and guidance to the workforce for facilities management, operations, maintenance, repair and minor construction, safety and quality control, and environmental management.
- Perform Project Management and Project Engineering activities in support of multi-discipline projects under minimal supervision.
- Develop and implement processes, procedures, and initiatives to effectively and successfully execute contract requirements, monitor progress, enhance performance, and address and resolve performance.
- Ensure assigned projects are completed on time, and within approved scope and budget.
- Maintain effective communication with the Government, sharing knowledge, demonstrating a business‑like concern for the client's interests, and facilitating program integration.
- Effectively manage and lead the contracting organization’s resources to meet all specifications and expectations of the contract.
- Ensure contract performance in accordance with the direction and policies of SML.
- Act on behalf of SML on all matters related to the performance of this contract.
- Monitor work in progress and adjust work to meet variable workloads and/or changes in work and schedules that cannot be accurately predicted.
- Work closely with staff in developing and implementing strategies, processes, and initiatives to achieve customer satisfaction, and meet and/or exceed performance requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of six (6) years of managerial experience on base operations support contracts.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Relevant experience must be in the last three (3) years.
- Experience in minor construction and repair cost estimates preferred.
- Experience with FARS, DFARS, and other federal regulatory guidance, laws, and requirements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
The majority of your work will be performed in an indoor setting, where you will interact with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities, located throughout the country.
Physical DemandsLifting & Carrying:
This position is generally active, requiring routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds. Employee must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times.
Employees will need to move around to attend meetings, access shared resources, and collaborate with team members.
