2026 Beach/Dock Crew - PEDERSON POINT (DOCK - PPT)
The beach/dock crew performs a variety of manual labor tasks. Once the fishing fleet delivers seafood to us, our beach/dock crew may work on the deck of the vessel, in the vessel’s holds, and on the dock to unload the seafood from the vessel to our plant.

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
Mooring/tying up vessels to the dock, operating fish pumps to unload fish from vessels.?
Maintain safety training/reaction plans for hazardous spills, fires, and other emergency situations.
Operate forklifts and other machinery as needed. Training required and provided at plant.
Offloading product from vessels via hand pitching into totes or brailer bags or using a fish pump.
Working on the decks or in the holds of fishing vessels.
Operating and navigating 4WD vehicles on various terrains including mud, sand, water, and tundra.
Awareness of surrounding factors including variable weather, flooding and ebbing tides, and daily structural changes in grade.
Sorting seafood on conveyor belts; moving fishing gear, nets, bait and supplies to/from storage areas to/from vessels.
Working in the processing and case up areas which may include butchering, cleaning, weighing, cutting, filleting, trimming, inspecting, and boxing various seafood products; operating plant machinery; inspecting product; loading product, boxes, pallets, or carts of product into or out of freezers or refrigerated vans.
Preparing packaging materials.
Guiding product into automated machinery: and cleaning or sanitizing the work area.
Responsible for ensuring dock operations meet environmental and safety regulations and policies.
Other duties as assigned.
To preserve our food products at the peak of freshness, our plants operate 24-hours a day.? Employees are assigned to 16-hour shifts, seven days a week.? You may be assigned to swing or night shifts.? There may be several days or weeks of full production, and there may be several days with little or no production.? There is no way to predict how much work will be available since this is a wild fishery, and it is important to understand that work hours are dependent on fish.
In Alaska, employees are paid overtime after eight regular hours in a day, and after 40 regular hours in a week.
NPSI provides transportation from the nearest major airport to the work location and back if you complete the season.
Employees live on site in communal bunkhouses with shared facilities, rooms are assigned based on gender identity, bed linens are provided. The cookhouse prepares hearty and nutritious meals and snacks. The housekeeping staff cleans and sanitizes restrooms and common areas. Laundry is done for employees once a week.
With no onsite expenses, and hopefully a large fish run, this is often a great way to make money in a relatively short period of time. There are additional opportunities for pay such as referral bonuses.

Experience :
Able to work well under pressure, 12-16 hours a day consecutively and non-consecutively, 7 days a week.
Must be willing and able to live and work in confined quarters in a multi-cultural environment.
Hand and power tool knowledge helpful.
Carpentry and general maintenance skills helpful.
