The Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician, Entry is responsible for supporting the safe and reliable day‑to‑day operation of onsite power generation equipment and safety systems.
This is a rotational position operating on a 28‑days‑on / 28‑days‑off schedule.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOperate andmonitorpower generation facility equipment in accordance with
OEM, site, and company procedures under supervision.Perform routine operator rounds, inspections, and equipment readings.
Maintainaccurateelectronic logbooks, inspection sheets, and shift handoff notes.
Identify obvious equipment abnormalities and alarms and follow established escalation procedures.
Support water treatment systems and routine chemical handling activities in accordance with procedures.
Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and planned maintenance activities.
Issue andcomply with safety work permits and support lockout/tagout (LOTO) activities under supervision.
Inspect work areas for mechanical issues, safety hazards, and environmental concerns.
Participate in safety meetings andcomply withall plant safety, environmental, and housekeeping requirements.
Assistin troubleshooting minor operational issues and perform basic corrective actions as directed.
Use operating manuals, P&IDs, schematics, and procedures to support equipment operation and maintenance.
Work effectively with teammates, contractors, and vendors on site.
Maintain required online training and qualification programs.
Perform other duties as assigned by operations leadership.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previousexperienceoperatingor maintaining industrial or power generation equipment preferred.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic logging systems.
Ability to read and understand operating procedures, basic drawings, and P&IDs (training provided).
Willingnesstolearnplant systems, alarms, and operating routines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow direction.
Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Valid Driver’s License required. Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet acceptable parameters of Company policy.
Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentOperation of industrial tools and heavy equipment.
Frequent standing, walking, and sitting for extending periods.
Climbing ladders and stairs andmaintainingbalance without assistance.
Frequent lifting of at least 10 pounds; infrequent lifting over 50 pounds.
Working in high-noise environments (>85 dBA) with required hearing protection.
Potential controlled exposure to hazardous chemicals.
Working outdoors in extreme heat and cold.
Working in confined spacesrequiringstooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
Frequent use of computers, mobile devices, and standard office equipment.
Position may require occasional travel, including overnight stays, based on business needs.
