Position: Assistant Store Manager I FT 6752

Assistant Store Manager I FT 6752

Full Time 30-40 hrs.

Kodiak Exchange, Kodiak, AK, US

DUTIES
  • Assist in managing a retail activity with sales less than $14M: receipt, stocking, pricing, inventorying, transfer, replenishment and warehousing of merchandise.
  • Assist customers and resolve complaints.
  • Interview, hire, train, or direct training of assigned personnel; coach and develop employees.
  • Assist in developing promotional sales; deal with vendors and others to execute operations of assigned departments or selections.
  • Sustain store recovery.
  • Supervise vending and warehouse operations; welcome customers, maintain product knowledge, and help with merchandise selection.
  • React promptly to all customer concerns.
  • Key tasks: opening and closing store as required, weekends as scheduled.
  • Review monthly P&L’s and initiate corrective action when plan not achieved.
  • Direct/supervise employees and manage store in absence of manager.
  • Ensure adherence to Loss Prevention policies and be proactive regarding shrink.
  • Ensure associates comply with safety and emergency preparedness standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Minimum
:

  • Two years of progressively responsible experience (lead/supervisor) that demonstrates leadership, operational oversight, and customer service management OR completion of CGX Leadership Development program (LDP).
  • Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds, and stand for long periods.

Preferred
:

  • Bachelor’s degree in retail or business administration with at least two years of specialized experience; general business experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
  • Experience in P&L analysis.
