JOB SUMMARYThe Coil Tubing Mechanic is responsible for performing general maintenance on a fleet of light and heavy duty equipment, including but not limited to light duty pickups, heavy trucks, tractor trailers, and specialized oilfield equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Maintain a positive attitude.
- Maintain all coiled tubing specific equipment, units, and auxiliary equipment.
- Inspect light and heavy duty equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
- Repair light and heavy duty equipment based on inspection and direction from supervisors.
- Adjust, repair, and replace engines, transmissions, fuel and hydraulic components, pumps, electrical wiring, sensors, brakes, steering, and suspension.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment using hoists, hand tools, pneumatic tools, and electrical tools.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including LOF (lube, oil, and filter), tune-ups, and fluid changes.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment and programs to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues.
- Operate equipment to diagnose issues and test drive after repairs are complete to ensure issues have been resolved.
- Maintain general repair knowledge in diesel engines, gas engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and brake systems.
- Perform welding and fabrication on equipment as needed.
- Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and the general work area.
- Prepare and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Other duties will be assigned to this position as needs require.
- Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- Must have at least five (5) years of experience performing heavy equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Must be able to obtain a Class A CDL within one (1) year of start date.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. repetitively.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license required.
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification required.
- Valid Class A CDL with tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
- A current DOT medical card.
- Minimum three (3) years coiled tubing equipment specific experience within required 5 year general experience.
- Experience performing welding and fabricating on equipment preferred.
